What these resources address

Everyday phrases are the hardest gap to close

General language study rarely covers the specific sentences care work needs: explaining what you are about to do, offering a choice, responding to a refusal, describing discomfort, or handing off at the end of a shift. A situation-based phrase reference is far more useful than a vocabulary list.

Hospital visits raise the stakes

During an emergency room or hospital visit, a family may need to explain a person's usual baseline, communication preferences, triggers, and calming strategies quickly, to people who have never met them. Having that written out in the family's own language before the visit reduces how much depends on recall under stress.

Translated material is often not the same material
