Care Navigator

How Vrenara verifies Care Navigator information

Before a state guide is published, Vrenara reviews material claims against current official sources. High-risk information—including Medicaid programs, eligibility rules, court processes, legal requirements, benefits, costs, and agency contacts—must be checked and dated. A second person must review the high-risk records before the guide can be released.

Why state-specific guidance matters

Medicaid programs, waiver names, court processes, caregiver-payment rules, licensing categories, and local agency structures are set state by state. General national advice often sends families to the wrong agency or the wrong process, which costs weeks at the moment a family can least afford them.

Types of information reviewed

  • State Medicaid and waiver program names and administering agencies
  • Eligibility and application processes
  • Legal processes such as powers of attorney, guardianship, and conservatorship
  • Care cost reference ranges and their published sources
  • Caregiver support, respite, and adult day program structures
  • Official agency contacts and links

Official-source standard

Material claims must trace to a current official source — a state agency, a federal agency, a state statute or court website, or a published survey named in the guide. Each source is recorded with the date it was checked.

High-risk claim review

Medicaid programs, eligibility rules, court processes, legal requirements, benefits, costs, and agency contacts are treated as high-risk. Each high-risk claim is checked against its official source and dated before it can appear in a guide.

Independent second-person review

A second person reviews the high-risk records against their sources. The guide cannot be released until that review is recorded as complete.

Publication gate

A state is not marked "Available" until its required modules are complete, its high-risk claims have official sources, its second review is complete, and its website and purchase-delivery testing have passed. Until every one of those conditions is recorded, a state page does not show a purchase option.

Quarterly maintenance cycle

Published guides are re-reviewed on a quarterly cycle, and sooner when a program change is identified. Each guide records its last reviewed date and its next scheduled review.
